Quick Tips & Early Warnings
Tip 1: Get All Missile Systems on Auto Build
You start off with a decent base that is mostly T3 with SMUs and SMDs already in place. Be sure to put them on Auto-Build ASAP!
Tip 2: Make use of ACU Aiko
Captain Aiko can help speed up the building process so make sure you put this ACU to work.
Tip 3: Lots of T3 Power Gens and Fabricators
You'll need a lot of resources in this mission and it is best to keep them close to Black Sun and inside your main base.
Tip 4: Build and Assist a Quantum Gate
SCUs can be a huge help in throughout this mission. Once your defenses are in place, have some T3 Engineers build and assist a QG. Crank out 20 or more SCUs and have the SCUs build up a powerful economy and defenses.
Mission Objectives
Objective 1: Protect Black Sun!
Never let Black Sun get destroyed! Protect it with about 4 Heavy Shield Gens, some T3 Missile Defenses, and T2 Point Defenses built on the north side of your base.
Objective 2: Recover the Last Component
Take your time on this to build up your base and units. There is no time limit here so if you build up a killer base and tons of units, you will find that the rest of the mission will be much easier. Get another SMD built to prepare for the Aeon nukes. Try to build two T3 Artillary Cannons near the southeast coast with good protection(Sheilds, Walls along coast, T3 AA Missiles, ect). The Arty will constantly pound on the Aeon base to the southeast throughout the mission. When your all set, go pickup the last component.
Objective 3: Destroy the Aeon Commander's Island Base
Don't kill the Aeon until you build up the north side of your base with plenty of T3 AA Missile Systems and 3-4 Fatboys ready for the Cybran that start pouring in from the north. When you feel ready, hit the Aeon base to the southeast with several nukes and attack what is left over using Gunships that patrol the base.
Objective 4: Defeat the Cybran Attack
This is a big attack where the Cybran bring in 4 Spiderbots(SBs) and several T3 Assault Bots from the north. Hit the SBs with as many Tactical Missiles from the Defensive Outposts as you can. Bring up your Fatboys, T3 Gunships, and as many SCUs as you can spare. Don't worry too much if they take the Control Tower because you can reclaim it with your SCUs or Engineers.
Objective 5: Protect Black Sun!!
Have a lot of T3 Missile Systems ready inside your base and to the north near your Fatboys; some Sheild Gens help to. Have the SCUs near the Fatboys repair and rebuild them as the enemy will continuosly attack from the north. Have your Strat Missile Launchers fire in front of the attacking forces to the north to seriously depleat their numbers, then finish them off with your Fatboys, SCUs, and T3 Gunships. Watch the western coastline and kill anything that moves toward Black Sun!
Objective 6: Defeat Arnold and His Assault
When Black Sun hits 80% the final battle comes in from the northwest. Move everything you have toward them and kill off the Czar Flying Fortress and Arnold's ACU before they can get close to Black Sun. First campaign complete, time to party!
