Quick Tips & Early Warnings
Tip 1: Patience is a Virtue
Don't get frustrated or try and complete this mission quickly. This one takes time and is probably the toughest of the UEF Operations because you are limited to using T2 units and structures.
Tip 2: Starting Your Base
You build everything and start with nothing. The enemy will attack mostly from the south and east so concentrate most of your defenses there. Almost no attacks come from the north so don't worry about it.
Tip 3: Save Often!
Save at the beginning of each objective, before you complete an objective/attack, or at any point where you have spent a lot of time building up. You may need it in this mission if you screw up.
Mission Objectives
Objective 1: Destroy the Cybran Base
Get some Mass Extractors, a Land Factory, and keep the energy flowing. Build about 10 Engineers, some Assault Bots and Tanks, then focus on Mobile Anti-Air (30 or more recommended). Build some AA Turrets and a few Point Defense Turrets near the coastline. Build a few Naval(NFs) and Air Factories(AFs) with about 5-10 Engineers assisting them. Upgrade the AFs so you can start cranking out Gunships(on repeat) and have the NFs build mostly Subs. Get a strong economy going and upgrade to T2 ASAP! Start building Amphibious Tanks. Try to upgrade your ACUs Resource Allowcation System to help bring in more mass and energy. Once you have plenty of defeses and patrols around your base move in to destroy the Cybran base to the south.
Objective 2: Capture Two of the Four Command Centers
Try not to rush in and capture the Command Centers right away. Hurt the enemy defenses to the east using your Naval units, then move in your Amphibious Tanks and Air to finish off their defenses. Get plenty of T2 AA, T2 Point Defenses, and a Wall built along the east coastline before completing this objective. Leave some small sections of the Wall open so you can get Amphibious Tanks in and out of your island. Capture when ready.
Objective 3: Capture the Science Facility
Dr. Sweeney is being held in the Science Facility(SF) to the southeast. Do not capture the building until you have plenty of units to protect the doctor as he escapes. Use your Navy to weaken the defenses around the facility then move in your Gunships and Amphibious Tanks. Set up a flight patrol to cover the area between the SF and your base. Get Shield Gens and Tactical Missile Defense going in key areas(east coastline, near SF, and your main factories). You can take control of the island east of your base but this takes a time and effort. Get T2 Engineers onto the island and get a 1-2 Shield Gens, T2 Point Def, and T2 AA built. Keep your structures on this island out of range of the enemy arty. Then build some T2 arty of your own that can hurt the enemy base while safely out of their arty's range. Rescue the doctor when ready.
Objective 4: Escort the Doctor to the Quantum Gate
The enemy moves in with Gunships from the east, so kill them before escorting the doctor to the gate. Be sure to have plenty of Interceptors protecting the doctor.
Objective 5: Defeat the Cybran Commander
The Cybran ACU is usually in the northeast base. Hit the NE base hard with Arty from your east island. Take your navy, Amp Tanks, and Gunships in after the arty has damaged the base. The Cybran ACU will run for the southeast. Kill him by attacking him with everything you have at once.
Objective 6: Construct Three Long-Range Radar Installations
Keep building Gunships until you reach your unit limit. Build a Shield Gen and some T2 AA Defs. right next to the target areas for the Radars before building the Radars.
Objective 7: Protect the Radar Installations
Start moving ground units to the Quantum Gate(QG) and wait for the timer to hit 0.
Objective 8: Destroy Escaping Cybran Engineers. Destroy the Spiderbot. Destroy Brackman's Base.
I like to count these 3 objectives as one big one. The enemy Engineers will try to run for the QG when they do attack them with your Gunships but try to avoid the AA near Brackman's base. Then have the Gunships and your navy focus on the Spiderbot. Then have all your unit focus on killing the Cybran Science Lab in Brackman's base.
